Document Delivery is the part of Interlibrary Loan that handles requests for physical items from the Library's collection.
We offer two free services:
Digital Scanning
We will scan and electronically deliver articles and book chapters from the library's physical collection to your A-State email. Please allow up to 3 business days for processing and digital delivery. Articles and book chapters will be delivered in PDF format.
Physical Delivery and Retrieval
We will deliver and pickup physical library materials for current A-State faculty members, staff, and graduate students. Available items are delivered to department offices within 3 business days. Retrieval requests will also be picked up within 3 business days.
Digital Scanning: All current A-State students, faculty, and staff may request digital scans of articles and book chapters.
Delivery and Retrieval: Delivery and retrieval of physical items is available to current, on-campus A-State faculty, staff, and graduate students. Requested materials will be delivered and retrieved from your departmental office.
Digital Scanning: Journal articles, newspaper articles, and book chapters from the library's physical collection may be requested. Note: Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot digitize entire books or journal issues.
Delivery and Retrieval: All items from our circulating physical collection may be requested, including those in storage.
Digital Scanning: All items will be sent as PDFs to your campus email. You will need a PDF reader to view the scans.
Delivery and Retrieval: Items will be checked out to your account and delivered to your departmental office. Pickups will be retrieved from the same office and discharged off your account once they are back in the library.
You may request digital scans up to 10 items a day. There is no limit for delivery and retrieval requests.
You may log-in in to your Library Account to view and renew items. You may renew materials online twice before they must be physically returned to the library and discharged off your account. If you still need the item(s), you may ask that they be checked back out to you, starting the renewal cycle again.
Faculty, staff, and graduate students may fill out a pickup request to have the library pickup items from your departmental office. You can also drop your items off at the Library Service Desk or in one of our three book drops.
