Creating Persistent Links: JSTOR

Linking to Full-Text Articles from Blackboard, Course Web Pages, and Syllabi

Creating Links To Articles Found In the JSTOR Database

Unlike the ProQuest and EBSCO databases, JSTOR does not automatically create persistent links. But don't worry! It's still easy to create one for your classes!

1. Go to the JSTOR and search for the article or book chapter you want to link to. Once you find it, click on the title.

Click on the title of the article

2. On the article display page, copy the URL from the left hand side of the screen.

Copy the link on the left hand side of the record page.

3. Paste the URL you copied above into your document. Now add the proxy URL prefix to the beginning. The proxy URL will always be the same:

https://ezproxy.library.astate.edu/login?url=

4. The finished persistent URL to the resource in the example above should look like this:

https://ezproxy.library.astate.edu/login?url=https://www.jstor.org/stable/j.ctt155j8f0.14
