Research & Educational Support

Need some help?

Are you struggling with your research? Don't know where to start? Does your research project seem overwhelming? We can help!

  • LIR 1011/1021: Introduction to Academic Research -- During the fall and spring semesters, we offer several sections of our very popular, 1-credit hour course, Introduction to Academic Research. Face-to-face and online sections are available during either the first or second session of each semester. Search the course catalog for the subject "library" to secure your spot.

  • Schedule a research consultation -- Meet one-on-one with a librarian to discuss your research needs. Librarians can help you form your research strategy, recommend specific resources, help you search effectively, and hunt down hard-to-find sources. Follow-up visits are sometimes required for larger projects.

  • Get help from home -- If you are an online student or can't come to the library, you can contact us for research help via phone, email, chat, or even Skype.

  • Dozens of student-use computers throughout the library
  • A presentation room available to reserve
  • Monthly board game nights and games to check out
  • Huge beanbags and other comfortable seating
  • Helpful librarians and library staff
